SVETISLAV PESIC
Svetislav
Pesic born August 28, 1949 in Novi Sad, Serbia, As a player of KK Bosna,
Pesic won the European Champions Cup in season 1978/79. As a head coach he
won several prestigious titles including European Championship with German
National Team in 1993, later in 2001 he won the European Championship
again this time with Yugoslavia in Turkey. In 2002, Yugoslavia Team won
the World Championship under his tenure in Indianapolis/USA. Pesic also
led a Yugoslavian Cadets Team that featured future international stars
Vlade Divac, Sasha Djordjeviæ, Toni Kukoè, and Dino Radja to victory in
the 1987 FIBA World Junior Championship. At the club level, Pesic won the
triple crowns in 2003 with FC Barcelona.
Personal: His son, Marko, is also an acclaimed professional
basketball player.
TAB BALDWIN
He
started playing basketball when he was 8 years old and continued to play
in high school where his father was his coach. His coaching career began
in 1983 as the assistant of Montgomery-Auburn University. In the late
eighties he went to New Zealand to coach 2nd Division team Otago. Between
1995 and 2000 he won 5 consecutive titles in New Zealand National League
as the head coach of Auckland where he won the coach of the year award for
3 times. Baldwin coached New Zealand National Team between 2001 and 2006
where he won the 4th place in 2002 World Basketball Championship. Between
2004 and 2006 he coached Banvitspor in Turkey and under his tenure the
team reached Final-four in FIBA Europe Cup in 2005.
Personal: Born in 16th of June 1958 in Jacksonville, Florida.

ZARE MARKOVSKI
He started
coaching in 1988 in Rabotniçki. After three years he won the National
Championship in 1991 with a record of 23 wins in 25 matches. He later
coached for Sassari (ITA), Reggiana (ITA), Fidelfinanz Benninzona (SWI),
KK Skopje (FYROM), Darüşşafaka (TUR), Basket Lugano (SWI), Avellino (ITA),
and Virtus Bologna (ITA). He is currently coaching for Olimpia Milano
since 2007. In his career, in addition to one Yugoslavian National
Championship title, he won 3 Swiss National Championships and 2 Swiss
National Cups. In Virtus Bologna he took his team to both Italian League
and Cup Finals as well as making it to the FIBA EuroCup final four. He
also coached Macedonian National Team in 1998.
Personal: Born in Skopje, 28 October 1960. Married, 2 children.
MURAT ÖZYER
He started
coaching at the junior teams of Galatasaray in 1983 and served for ten
years in the club in both senior and junior team coaching positions. He
attended Georgia Tech University for education in coaching under the
supervision of coach Boby Cremins in 1990. In 1993, he became the coach of
Ülkerspor junior teams and served for three years. Between 1996 and 2006
he served as the assistant coach of the Ülkerspor senior team where he won
two National League titles, three Turkish Cups and four Presidency Cups.
In March 2006, he became the head coach of Ülkerspor and won his first
title at the same year. In 2006-2007 season, his tenure as Galatasaray
head coach started and they reached to the National semi-finals that year.
This is his 3rd year as the head coach in the Turkish Basketball League
and he achieved to take Galatasaray to ULEB Cup Final-4 where they ended
up in the 4th place for the first time in the club’s history.
Personal: Born in 1966, graduated from Marmara University with a
degree in business administration.. Married, 2 children.
CEYHUN YILDIZOĞLU
He’s been
the head coach of Botaş basketball club for 18 years with numerous
achievements along with his 10-year tenure as the assistant coach of
Senior Women’s National Basketball Team. He also served in various
categories in the Turkish National teams such as the head and assistant
coach of U-21 Women’s National Team and head coach of U-18 Women’s
National Basketball Team. As Botaş head coach, he took his team to the
quarter finals in the European Cup in 2000, finals in 2001 and the Turkish
Cup title in 2002. In 2002-2003 season, he won the titles of Turkish
Women’s Basketball League, Turkish Cup and Presidency Cup. In 2003-2004
season he won the Presidency Cup one more time.
Personal: Born in 1967, has a degree in business administration.
Prof. Dr. YAŞAR SEVİM
Graduated
from Gazi Inst. Physcial Education in 1969. Mastered in Koln between
1970-1974. Served as lecturer between 1974-1996 in Turkey. Played
Basketball, Handball and Football in Germany and Turkey, also for the
national team. Founded Turkish Handball Fed.in 1976 and was the first
president. Former TBF Board Member, presenty lectures at Gazi Uni.on
Practice Knowledge and TBF Head of Education Committee.
Personal: Born in 1948 in Göksun. Fluent in German. Married, 2
children.
ÇETİN YILMAZ
He started
coaching in 1974 as the head coach of ODTÜ junior teams and assistant
coach of the senior team. In his coaching career over 30 years, he coached
Çukurova, Beykoz, Fenerbahçe, Ülker, Beşiktaş, İTÜ and Tuborg Pilsener. In
1991, 1995 and 1998 he won three Turkish Basketball League titles.
Personal: Born in 1956… graduated from ODTÜ with a degree in
sociology… married, 1 child.
KADİR ÖZÇELİK
Been a
basketball referee since 1976 till 1996, also served as a referee
instructor. At the present he is the General Secretary of the Technical
Committee.

RECEP ANKARALI
Besides
his officiating career , started in 1989 and became international in 1995,
he also is a FIBA Referee Instructor. Presently he calls in the Euroleague.
Graduated from Eskişehir Uni., Management Faculty in 1990.
Personal: Born on April 10, 1968 in Üsküdar. Fluent in English.
Married, 2 children.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. GÖKHAN METİN
He
graduated from the Istanbul Cerrahpaşa University Faculty of Medicine.
Specialized in physiotherapy and sport’s medicine. In 2005 became assoc.
professor in physiotherapy. Presently he serves at the Istanbul Cerrahpaşa
University Faculty of Medicine’s Department of Physiotherapy. Presently he
is a member of the Turkish Basketball Federation Health Committee.
Personal: Born in 1961 in Aydın. Married, 2 children.
