Biography:There's
no doubt that he's one of the most prolific strikers
of Modern Football Era and he's the best Turkish
player people ever seen.
Started his career at 2nd division team Sakaryaspor
and soon moved to one of the best teams of turkey,Bursaspor. After
two succesful season at Bursa it was the time for
him to play at a real big team and he transferred to
Turkish Giant Galatasaray. He was very succesful here
and scored more than 50 goals at 3 season. Then
Galatasaray decided to sell him to Italian Team
Torino.It was a wrong decision,Torino was a small
club and they wanted to stay clear from relegation. But
Hakan was used to play at best teams whose aim is to
be Champion. Finally he returned Galatasaray after
played 5 matches and scoring once.
Although he was very moralless he managed to score
16 goals at 25 matches.In 1996 a new era for
Galatasaray and Hakan Sukur was started,ex Turkey
Coach Fatih Terim-who knowed Hakan very well-
appointed by Galatasaray. And Hakan scored incredible
38 goals at that season.
Since then Hakan has been going on to score goals
regularly. He's the Turkish player who has scored
most goals at National team and European Cups so
far.
What makes Hakan such a good scorer?
First of all his powerful heading ability...he
scored most of his goals with his head and he's one
of the best headers of the world(maybe the best)
Determination...He's very strong and hardworking.Generally
opponents mark him with 2 defenders(sometimes 3)And
even he can't score he makes spaces for his
teammates and they score
Shooting...Generally he's not thought to be a good
shooter.He doesn't take shoots from long distances,he
prefer passing instead but near the goal he can use
both his left and right feet.
And his Galatasaray love...maybe this is the most
important. He's a real Galatasaray fun, he loves his
team so much that he has rejected many transfer
offers from big european teams including Juventus so
far.Unfortunately,after Galatasaray board's
misbehaviour to him he decided to leave the team he
loves and moved to an Italian Giant,Internazionale Milan...
